Healing Service
Held on the third Monday of each month, our healing service lifts up our needs of healing through traditional worship liturgy, prayers, songs and anointing of oil. We affirm that God is the healer as we bring to God our physical, emotional, mental, relational, spiritual, community, country and concerns of the world. The anointing of oil is a symbol of God's presence and healing. We entrust ourselves to the love, care and healing of the Great Physician. The service is held in the Sanctuary. Following the service, parishioners may have special prayers lifted up by a prayer partner.

Prayer
Prayer is powerful. There isn't just one right way to pray — what works well for one person may not for another. When we pray we come before God with the world on our hearts. We are also offering ourselves to be in some small way channels of love and peace in God's world. Join us every Saturday at 8:00 a.m. for Prayer Time.

Youth Confirmation Ministry
Ascension’s Youth Confirmation Ministry is multi-dimensional with learning, servant events, fellowship, small group discussion/prayer time, and retreats. The program is called FaithINK or nicknamed “FINK.” It’s a three-year program (6th grade to 8th grade) and classes are offered in two options: every Sunday from 10:30 - 11:15 a.m. or alternate Mondays from 6:45 - 8:30 p.m.

School
Ascension Lutheran Early Childhood Center (ECC) is a cooperative pre-school and limited cooperative pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. Your child’s education is a cooperative effort between home and school. Our intent is to assist you in this effort by providing activities designed to promote physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual growth in a loving Christian environment.

Adult Bible Study
Our Adult Bible Study is offered Sundays at 10:30 a.m. during our Education Hour. We are currently focusing on some of the major themes in the Gospel of Luke and relating them to Lent. The word "lent" comes from a word which means "spring," and the "springtime of our spirit" comes through our faith rooted in the Word of scripture. Come join us and become more familiar with Luke's story of Jesus for the "springtime of our spirit."

Love INC
Love INC, which stands for “Love In the Name of Christ,” is a network of churches working together to meet human needs.

Katrina Relief
Yellow envelopes have been placed in the pews for any gifts you may wish to make to the two congregations — St. Paul's in New Orleans and Zion in Bogalusa, La. — that the English District is supporting. Gifts may be given at any point. This enables salaries to be paid and repairs to be made until these congregations can resume their full activity.

Door Offering
A door offering is collected once each month during all services to assist with a special need in our community.
