School
Ascension Lutheran Early Childhood Center (ECC) is a cooperative pre-school and limited cooperative pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. Your child’s education is a cooperative effort between home and school. Our intent is to assist you in this effort by providing activities designed to promote physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual growth in a loving Christian environment.
If you have questions or would like to register your child, please contact our director, Mrs. Laurie Schneider, at 440.777.6365 or ecc.alc@sbcglobal.net.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to be both age and developmentally appropriate. Bible stories and songs are an integral part of our program. Hands-on learning is encouraged through participation in free play, art, music, religious, science, math, literature, and language activities and is supplemented by occasional field trips, guest speakers, and special activities.
Staff
Staff members meet academic qualifications for their position, have required state training, attend conferences and workshops to further professional growth, and possess a love for and an interest in children and families. We also use a parent help daily in the pre-school programs.
Goals
We strive to provide your child with a positive school experience and endeavor to instill in parents the importance of building and maintaining a solid home/school relationship. Therefore, it is our intent to:
- assist parents with spiritual training of child;
- encourage child to think and act for self;
- provide environment which promotes self-esteem;
- provide activities which develop creative abilities;
- encourage music appreciation and dramatic play;
- provide daily opportunities for child to stretch and grow in all areas of development.
