Worship Services

The Lord calls forth our services — in sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving to Him and in loving services to one another. We celebrate Holy Communion at all services. View our calendar for any changes and for information on special services. Learn more about how Lutherans worship.

Sunday Services
Traditional — 8:30 a.m. & 11:15 a.m.
Our traditional service combines traditional worship liturgy with pipe organ music, Ascension's Adult Choir, and hymns. The service is held in the Sanctuary.

Praise — 9:30 a.m.
Our praise service retains the traditional worship liturgy and blends with a live band and praise music. The service is held in Upper Founders Hall.

Education Hour — 10:30 a.m.
During our Education Hour, children attend Sunday School in the Early Childhood Center and adults attend Bible Study in the Library.

Monday Service
Traditional — 7:00 p.m.
Our Monday traditional service combines traditional worship liturgy, prayers and songs. The service is held in the Sanctuary.

Healing — 7:00 p.m. (third Monday of each month)
Our healing service lifts up our needs of healing through traditional worship liturgy, prayers, songs and anointing of oil. We affirm that God is the healer as we bring to God our physical, emotional, mental, relational, spiritual, community, country and concerns of the world. The anointing of oil is a symbol of God's presence and healing. We entrust ourselves to the love, care and healing of the Great Physician. The service is held in the Sanctuary. Following the service, parishioners may have special prayers lifted up by a prayer partner.
